Geneane Wall Marshall was born October 15, 1959, in Sampson County to the late Ed and Ella Wall.
She received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Sampson Community College,
Clinton, NC. She obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from North Carolina
Central University, Durham, NC. She was a nursing educator, mentor, and trailblazer

Geneane had a passion for serving her community and was a community activist. As a
charter member of Gamma Eta Eta Chapter, she served as the chapter’s first historian.
The Geneane Wall Marshall Nursing Scholarship was developed by Gamma Eta Eta
Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated ® in September of 2017 in honor and in
memory of chartered member Geneane Wall Marshall, BSN, RN.
