Geneane Wall Marshall was born October 15, 1959, in Sampson County to the late Ed and Ella Wall.
She received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Sampson Community College,
Clinton, NC. She obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from North Carolina
Central University, Durham, NC. She was a nursing educator, mentor, and trailblazer

Geneane had a passion for serving her community and was a community activist. As a
charter member of Gamma Eta Eta Chapter, she served as the chapter’s first historian.

Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated ® in September of 2017 in honor and in
memory of chartered member Geneane Wall Marshall, BSN, RN.

MARSHALL NURSING SCHOLARSHIP BANQUET ON NOVEMBER 16, 2024 AT
6:00PM. LOCATION TO BE ANNOUNCED. FAILURE TO ATTEND WILL FORFIET YOUR
AWARD.

Phyllis C. Goodman Scholarship Requirements: Associate (ASN/ADN) & Baccalaureate (BSN).
High School Senior Student Requirements
$500 Award
1.High School Senior.
2.Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
3.Pursuing a degree in the field of nursing and must provide proof of admission in a pre-
nursing or nursing program.
4.Submit required 500-word essay.
5.Submit an official or unofficial copy of your high school transcript.
6.Submit two scholarship recommendations, one must be

1.Enrolled in an LPN program.
2.Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
3.Must provide proof of acceptance into an LPN program.
4.Submit an essay of five hundred words discussing why you have decided to pursue
becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse.
5.Submit an official or unofficial copy of your college transcript.
